Best eReader Devices on the Market

In the last few years eReaders have really taken off. Less than a decade ago people were saying that no one would give up the feel of real books for a computer, but now almost everyone has a Kindle, Nook, or iPad. Which one is best? Well, that all depends on what you are looking for.

The Kindle has a lot of benefits with several different offerings all within a fairly reasonable price range. The Kindle Fire is one of the most portable and cost effective tablets and gives you the benefit of a huge lending library when you sign up for Amazon Prime. Check out their website for the details

The Barnes and Noble Nook is a great eReader option also. It, too, comes in a variety of prices and options. What most people like best about the Nook is that you can easily share books you are reading with your friends.  It isn’t as ubiquitous as the Kindle but is still a good ereader.  Their website has some great offers.

iPads are more of an all-purpose tablet but still work as eReaders. When using your iPad as an eReader you’ll need to purchase an app, like the Google Reader app, and build your library from there. There are a lot of options with this machine—almost more than you can handle—but most iPad users love the interface and would recommend it to others.

I personally use a Kindle Fire HD and love reading on it. I also love what Amazon has to offer for it. I ended up loving it so much that I purchased Amazon Prime to work with it. I have also heard great things about their Kindle Paperwhite. I’ve never used a nook, but I bet it serves its purpose.

Thanks for the info! Always good to have a personalised recommendation. Anyone in love with the nook?
